One of the Biggest Prayer Lessons I Learned that Opened Spiritual Doors for Me

“If I am a child of God and I am praying to God who made the heavens and the earth, why am I not getting results?” This was the question that started it all.

Many believers pray to God and receive no answer. They end up frustrated, but they don’t know what to do about it.

Today, I’m offering you a prayer lesson I learned that turned everything around for me when I was not getting answers to my prayers.

Ever since I learned this lesson, there is no spiritual door the Lord has not opened for me.

I’m not saying this just to excite you; listen and be the judge.

The Mistake of Many Believers

Let me start by pointing out the error that many believers make. It is because of this error that many believers don’t get answers to most of their prayers.

Many believers can pray, but few understand what God requires for Him to answer a prayer.

Because of this lack of understanding, many believers remain in the dark with unanswered prayers.

The worst part is that when many believers experience unanswered prayers, they assume God wants them to wait.

This terrible mistake leaves many believers claiming God is powerful, but their lives are a mess.

I don’t want you to continue suffering in this pain. That’s why I’m sharing with you this prayer lesson that saved me from a similar struggle.

Ready to learn the prayer lesson? Let’s dive in.

Solution Context

Let me start by laying a scriptural foundation for you to understand the prayer lesson I learned from the Holy Spirit.

The first Bible verse I want you to pay attention to is Hebrews 11:8.

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

The second scripture of great interest is Exodus 1:21.

And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them.

Lastly, take note of this portion of scripture, Luke 23:42-43.

Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

These three scriptures are linked in a very beautiful way. That link is the prayer lesson I learned.

The Revelation

In Hebrews 11:8, the Bible tells us that Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place he would receive as an inheritance.

This leads me to the first point: when you take the risk to obey God at all costs, He will give you a beautiful inheritance.

This brings me to the second scripture.

In Exodus 1:21, we are told that the midwives who refused to kill the male children of Israel were blessed with families of their own.

This leads me to the second point: when you put your life on the line to please God, He will remember your sacrifice and reward you.

I hope we are together up to that point.

Lastly, in Luke 23:42-43, the Bible tells us of the thief on the cross who asked Jesus to remember him when He enters His kingdom.

This leads me to the third point: when you humble yourself before God, He will assure you of His salvation.

But here is the big question: What do all these scriptures have to do with receiving answers from God when you pray?

Don’t worry, that’s what I’m going to address next.

Practical Implementation

When you pray to God to open spiritual doors for you, the first thing you need to do is to obey the commands of God.

Any command of God that you know, even if it is unrelated to what you are asking for, make sure you obey it to the best of your ability.

Two, after you make a prayer to God, He will usually give you an opportunity to put your life at risk for the glory of His name.

When that happens, don’t get scared. Instead, willfully put your life on the line for God’s glory.

Last but not least, humble yourself and plead with God like a beggar.

These three steps represent the order that God looks for in believers to determine whether He will answer their prayer or not.

I have told you the secret. It is now your turn to implement it and get the results you desire.

God bless you!
