When you understand how deeply spiritual poverty is, you will easily walk out of it.
You may have suffered poverty for a long time. You might even have been born in it. In an attempt to break free, you may have prayed, fasted, and affirmed scriptures, but you are still stuck.
What if I told you there is a spiritual key that you have been missing all along? Today, I’m going to share with you a simple spiritual revelation that will get you out of every kind of poverty.
And before you ask who I am to make this bold claim, I am a child of God who sought wisdom to understand deep spiritual mysteries. The revelation I’m sharing with you is one of the mysteries the Holy Spirit revealed to me about poverty.
The Mistake of Many Believers
Let me start by addressing the mistake many believers make when it comes to overcoming poverty. It is only after you understand this mistake that you will have a chance to avoid it.
When many believers want to come out of poverty, they pray against poverty. Some choose to work hard, believing that they will escape poverty through hard work. That is a terrible mistake.
Because of this mistake, many believers find themselves in an endless cycle of praying against poverty, yet they continue suffering in poverty. Others find themselves working so hard but barely getting out of poverty.
Those who are in an endless cycle of praying against poverty assume that they are still stuck in poverty because their prayers are not fervent enough. Those who work hard to get out of poverty assume that they have not worked hard enough to break free.
Because of these miscalculations, such believers languish in poverty.
This is a sad state. I do not wish it for any believer. I’m sharing this revelation with the hope of changing that narrative.

Solution Context
Before I share the revelation, let’s start with important scriptures that will help you understand the solution.
The first scripture I want you to pay attention to is from Genesis 7:11-12.
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.
The second important scripture in this context is 2nd Kings 7:2. This is what the Bible says.
So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” And he said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”
I hope you’ve taken note of these first two scriptures. Let me give you one last scripture, and then I’ll explain all of them to you.
The last verse is the famous Malachi 3:10. It says…
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.
The three scriptures are connected in a way you would never expect. Their connection is the revelation that leads people out of poverty.
Wondering how they connect? Here is your moment…
The Revelation
In Genesis 7:11-12, the Bible tells us that God opened the windows of heaven, and there was rain on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights.
In 2nd Kings 7:2, the Bible tells us of the King’s servant who doubted that the famine during the time of Elisha could end even if the Lord opened the windows of heaven.
Finally, in Malachi 3:10, God challenges Israel to give tithes and see if He would not open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings.
Up to this point, you should have noticed that each of these 3 scriptures mentions windows of heaven.
This brings me to the spiritual side of things.
You see, God has a store. It is a massive store. It houses all supplies for the whole earth and all creation.
In the time of Noah, God opened that store to release excess rain to flood the earth. In the time of Elisha, God opened that store to end the severe famine in Israel. In Malachi, God promised to open that store if the Israelites gave their tithe.
Here is the thing: in the spiritual realm, poverty is nothing more than lacking access to the storehouse of God.
If you want to break out of poverty, you must find a way to get God to open the windows of heaven for you.
How do you do that? You may ask.
Well, here is the key…
Practical Implementation
God opens the windows of heaven in three circumstances only.
One, because of a word from His prophet. Elisha spoke and God opened the windows of heaven. Jesus spoke, and there was a miraculous catch of fish.
Two, because of an act of faith. Noah built an ark, and God opened the windows of heaven.
Three, God opens the windows of heaven as His sovereign choice. God feeds the birds of the air daily as His choice.
Therefore, to break free from poverty, get a word from the prophet of the Lord, do an act of faith, or plead with God to pull you out as an act of His sovereign choice.
God bless you!
