On Monday, September 8th, I held a praying-in-tongues session where the Holy Spirit revealed several prophecies. 24 hours later, I was amazed to see breaking news on national tv, concerning one of the prophecies the Holy Spirit had revealed.
Here is how everything happened.
I live-stream praying-in-tongues sessions every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on YouTube. I conduct these sessions to help believers who struggle with praying in tongues on their own, especially for extended periods.
The sessions are usually 2 hours long. Sometimes the Holy Spirit gives me revelations during the sessions, which I share with those present. It is all about showcasing how fruitful praying in tongues can be, and how to cooperate with the Holy Spirit as a believer.
On this particular day, I decided to take a fast to enhance my spiritual sensitivity ahead of the prayer session scheduled for 6 pm.
Shortly into the session, the Holy Spirit began revealing to me a number of things. Not wanting to interrupt the prayer session, I wrote down whatever the Holy Spirit was showing me.
I intended to write everything and then share it at the end of the session. Most of the things the Holy Spirit revealed to me were issues affecting different individuals. Since I didn’t know those individuals, the Holy Spirit would give me different descriptions of the people, with their specific message.
The unsettling vision
The prayers were going on quite well. However, an hour into the prayer session, the Holy Spirit revealed to me a message that unsettled me. At first, I doubted whether that was really a message from the Holy Spirit or just my own imagination.
But I quickly remembered a vow I once made. I made this vow in my early days of learning to hear from the Lord.
When I was learning to hear from the Lord, I once saw a vision, but I brushed it off as my own thought. However, the person leading the fellowship asked me to share what the Lord had revealed to me.
I wanted to say I did not receive any divine message, but the person leading the fellowship insisted that God had revealed something to me. Being under pressure, I decided to share what had come to my mind while we were praying in tongues.
Immediately after sharing it, someone interpreted what it meant, and another person shared a similar message he had received.
With those confirmations, I vowed that I would always take anything that comes to my mind while I am praying in tongues as a message from the Holy Spirit.
Because of this vow, I decided to note down what was on my mind. I had seen a Toyota Land Cruiser veer off the road, then the passenger door opened, and a man in a suit fell out dead.
The Holy Spirit helped me understand that the man had been shot dead.
Because this was a message of tragedy, I asked the Holy Spirit for more information just to be sure.
If you are wondering how I asked the Holy Spirit, basically, I just thought to myself, “Why was this man shot?”
The Holy Spirit can read our minds. So, when you have a question in your mind, He will answer you.
The Holy Spirit revealed to me that the man was a leader, and that his shooting would cause instability for a while, but that would be the solution.
Now, the Holy Spirit didn’t clarify what problem the shooting of the person would solve, but He just said it would be a solution. Not wanting to act childish, I accepted the report of the Holy Spirit.
After the praying in tongues session, I shared the messages the Lord had revealed to me. There were eight messages in total, with the message of the man being shot being the seventh one.
Now, sharing messages that the Holy Spirit has given you takes faith and courage. Most of those messages don’t make sense to you at the time you are sharing them. You need to be very humble and just believe that the Holy Spirit knows why He revealed those messages.
After sharing the messages, I ended the session as usual, not expecting much.
24 hours later, on Tuesday, 9th September, I was watching TV with my wife. We switched to watch prime time news and saw breaking news. The breaking news said a popular city lawyer had been shot dead that evening.
Instantly, I remembered what the Holy Spirit had revealed to me the previous day while praying. However, I wanted more details to see if they would match what the Holy Spirit had revealed to me.
Sure enough, I saw the images of the shooting, and the lawyer was in a Toyota Land Cruiser when he was shot. He was also dressed in a suit at the time of the shooting.
The details were so precise, and I believed that was the exact incident the Holy Spirit had revealed to me.
Conclusion
This is evidence that there is nothing that the Holy Spirit does not know. He has access to the heavenly council that presides over the affairs of men, and He can reveal to us the secrets discussed when we pray in tongues.
This is why I love praying in tongues and helping other believers pray in tongues and commune with the Holy Spirit.
The lesson here is to take seriously whatever comes to your mind when praying in tongues. That is how the Holy Spirit reveals information in many cases.
