If you have no fire to pray in tongues, you need to hear this hidden mystery. With this mystery, you will easily fire up your gift of tongues to deeper levels in the spirit.
Many praying-in-tongues believers run out of zeal to pray in tongues every now and then. It puzzles them why the fire to pray in tongues goes out.
That cycle ends today with the mystery I’m going to share with you.
I struggled with inconsistent fire when praying in tongues for a long time. I would go from fervently praying in tongues in one season to struggling to pray in tongues shortly afterwards.
The inconsistent intensity bothered me greatly. That is when I set out to find a solution to this problem once and for all.
In the process, I discovered the mystery I’m going to share with you today. With this mystery, I am now able to pray in tongues without running out of fire.

The Praying in Tongues Fire Problem
Before I share with you how to keep your praying-in-tongues fire ablaze, let me give you the origin of the problem. It is only after you understand the problem that you will be in a position to fix it.
Think of this: a believer receives the gift of praying in tongues, expecting to be on fire for Christ. Everything goes according to plan for a while. The tongues flow, he feels the power of the Holy Spirit, and his intimacy with the Lord is at an all-time high.
However, shortly afterwards, the fire to pray in tongues disappears. The visions he was seeing a short while ago are nowhere to be seen. The power and presence of the Lord, which he was feeling is now a distant memory.
The new experience puzzles the believer. He tries to figure out what has changed, but he can’t find any tangible reason. According to him, he is doing exactly what he used to do in the past. It is just that the results are nowhere close to the results he used to get before.
The lack of power discourages the believer from praying in tongues. Before he knows it, the thought of praying in tongues feels so boring. He wonders where his fire to pray in tongues went.
If this is you, here is a mystery that will answer your endless questions.
Context
For you to understand the mystery, pay attention to the following scriptures. The book of Joshua 7 tells us of an interesting story.
Here is what verses 2 and 3 say:
Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth Aven, on the east side of Bethel, and spoke to them, saying, “Go up and spy out the country.” So the men went up and spied out Ai. And they returned to Joshua and said to him, “Do not let all the people go up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and attack Ai. Do not weary all the people there, for the people of Ai are few.”
Joshua sent spies to Ai and got a report from the spies that it was all clear to attack.
Here is what happened next in verse 4 and 5.
So about three thousand men went up there from the people, but they fled before the men of Ai. And the men of Ai struck down about thirty-six men, for they chased them from before the gate as far as Shebarim, and struck them down on the descent; therefore the hearts of the people melted and became like water.
Israel was beaten. It was devastating. They could not understand why that happened.
Because of that puzzling experience, here is what Joshua did in verses 6 and 7.
Then Joshua tore his clothes, and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of the Lord until evening, he and the elders of Israel; and they put dust on their heads. And Joshua said, “Alas, Lord God, why have You brought this people over the Jordan at all—to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? Oh, that we had been content, and dwelt on the other side of the Jordan!
The burden was too heavy for Joshua, and he cast it to the Lord. The Lord did not remain silent. He responded in verses 11 and 12. This is what He said;
Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them. For they have even taken some of the accursed things, and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their own stuff. Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they have become doomed to destruction. Neither will I be with you anymore, unless you destroy the accursed from among you.
What do all these have to do with reviving the praying in tongues fire?
Well, let me explain…
The Mystery
Israel thought they were in good books with the Lord. They confidently went to war, but they were beaten. It was only after Joshua inquired of the Lord that the Lord revealed the sin that was among them.
The fire of praying in tongues is a result of the power of the Holy Spirit in you. The Holy Spirit dwells in you because your body, which is His temple, is pure. If you defile the temple, the Holy Spirit steps back.
Without realizing it, you start feeling the difficulty in praying in tongues.
If that is the case, what should you do?
Start by asking the Lord to reveal your sin. Let Him explain to you how you’ve defiled yourself and pushed back the Holy Spirit in your life.
With that revelation, you will be in a good position to repent and purify yourself from every sin and defilement.
The moment you regain purity, the Holy Spirit will fire you up to pray in tongues once again. Just because the Lord has not come to you to tell you there is sin on you does not mean you are innocent.
If you are facing defeat in your prayer life, it always points to a breakdown in cooperation with the Holy Spirit. And there is no bigger factor that breaks down that cooperation than sin and defilement.
I hope this information will help you regain your praying in tongues fire. I’m on a mission to help believers embrace the gift of tongues and grow in it. If you would like to grow and thrive in the gift of tongues, this is the right place for you.
