My Situation Before the Breakthrough
About two years ago, in August 2023, I made the decision to rededicate my life to God. At that time, my life was already going through a very difficult season. My marriage had been separated for about four years, and today that separation has now been about six years. In addition to the emotional stress from my marriage, I was also dealing with professional and financial challenges.
I had previously quit a job because the environment had become very stressful. Some clients were extremely difficult to deal with, and I felt that management was not adequately supporting the staff or addressing the issues affecting patient care. The situation became unbearable, so I resigned. Unfortunately, once I left that job, financial pressure quickly followed because I could not immediately find a better replacement position.
Eventually, I found another job, but it also came with significant challenges. However, I made a commitment before God that I would stay there until He opened a better opportunity for me. During this time, I prayed very specifically. I told God the kind of job I desired. I asked for a position that would not require a long commute; ideally, no more than 20 to 30 minutes. I asked for fair compensation and stability. I also prayed for a job that could allow remote work in case of emergencies such as a pandemic. Finally, I asked God for a role where my hard work would be rewarded, including bonuses for performance.
I waited for two years believing God would answer that prayer.
What I Did to Seek God’s Help
In April 2025, a recruiter contacted me about a new opportunity. After some delays and spiritual battles along the way, I finally started the job in September 2025. I believed deeply that God had opened that door for me.
However, by December, the workload began to increase significantly. The company wanted us to see more and more people, and the pressure to complete large amounts of documentation became overwhelming. At one point, I had a large backlog of unfinished work, and I was warned that my job might be at risk.
During this difficult period, I continued praying every day and asking God for strategies to help me succeed. In February 2026, I came across a YouTube channel called “Men Must Pray,” which emphasized prayer and praying in tongues. I scheduled a meeting with the minister on February 24th to seek spiritual guidance.
During that conversation, we discussed several areas of my life, including my work and even my marriage. The discussion opened my eyes to certain biblical principles I had not fully understood before, and it helped me begin a process of reconciliation and healing regarding my marriage.
As my work situation intensified, I sent a prayer request on March 2nd asking for prayer specifically regarding my job. Shortly afterward, something unexpected happened: my manager informed me that a system glitch had incorrectly inflated the number of unfinished cases assigned to me. That discovery temporarily removed the immediate threat to my job.
Still, I knew I needed a lasting solution. I felt led to fast, so I began a modified Esther fast on March 6th while continuing to pray for wisdom and strategy.
How God Came Through
While working that Friday afternoon, I reached a point where I felt completely stuck. I prayed again and asked God for help because I did not know how I was going to complete the workload required of me.
Then, between about 3:00 and 4:00 PM, an idea suddenly came to my mind.
I noticed that many of the forms I complete, especially musculoskeletal evaluations, contain similar sections repeated across multiple reports. Inspired by that realization, I wrote a small piece of code to help extract and organize some of the repetitive information. I am not a computer scientist, but the idea came so clearly that I was able to implement it quickly.
The result was extraordinary. Normally, one report could take me two to three hours to complete. That evening, with the help of this new approach, I completed six reports in eight hours. I submitted the last one right at midnight, transitioning from March 6th into March 7th.
The next day I had a previously scheduled follow-up meeting to discuss my situation. Instead of bringing complaints or worries, I was able to share a testimony. God had given me the strategy I had been praying for.
What began as a crisis became a breakthrough. God protected my job, gave me wisdom, and turned a stressful situation into a testimony of His faithfulness. For that, I give all the glory to God.
