I ask the Holy Spirit many questions. In response, He gives me many revelations. This is one of the most profound revelations I have ever received from the Holy Spirit.
Here is what I observed: many believers were praying, but very few could show any results for their prayers. For many believers, prayers were nothing more than speaking to the air and hoping for the best.
This observation bothered me. It pushed me to ask the Holy Spirit why this was the case. In response, the Holy Spirit gave me this profound revelation I’m sharing with you today.
At some point, I used to pray, but I had nothing to show for my prayers. However, everything changed when I implemented this discovery. Since then, my life has been full of countless tangible results from the prayers I make.
Ready for the revelation that will completely transform your prayer life? Stick around…
The Mistake of Many Believers
I will begin by explaining to you a common mistake that many believers make.
Many believers who struggle to get results out of their prayers have a problem with their faith. I know, you may have heard this a million times already, but I doubt you’ve seen it from the perspective I was shown.
When many believers pray, they are met with silence. Many of them interpret that silence to mean that God has not heard them. The few that are optimistic interpret the silence to mean God wants them to wait. They console themselves with, “God is working behind the scenes”.
However, with time, the wait starts to feel too burdensome to bear. They start questioning their approach to prayer, their faith, God, servants of God, and pretty much anything.
This happens because they misinterpreted the silence in the first place. With the right interpretation of the silence that comes after prayer, you will never find yourself in such a hopeless situation.
I have explained to you the mistake; let me now walk you through the solution.
Solution Context…
Let’s look at three important scriptures that will help you understand the revelation I received from the Holy Spirit.
First scripture…
Esther 4:16
“Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!”
This is arguably the most loaded scripture in the entire book of Esther. It is no surprise that it is the foundation of the revelation the Holy Spirit gave me.
Second scripture…
James 2:26
So then, as the body without the spirit is dead, also faith without actions is dead. (GNT)
Can you see a link between this scripture and the first one? Don’t worry, I’ll show you after I share with you the third scripture.
Third Scripture…
Romans 10:11
For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
I hope you’ve taken note of the three scriptures. Let’s now get into the revelation.
The Revelation
In Esther 4:16, the Bible tells us of a dire predicament that Esther and the Jews found themselves in. I want you to pay attention to two important things that Esther did in that verse. These two things are very key if you want results for your prayers.
One, Esther set a deadline. She gave herself three days to prepare to go before the King.
Two, Esther acknowledged and accepted the risk of the worst happening to her.
This leads me to the second scripture…
In James 2:26, the Bible tells us that our faith is dead unless we attach actions to it. I told you to take note of the two important things that Esther did, because those were the actions that gave life to her faith.
But there is one more scripture…
Romans 10:11 is an assurance from God that whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame. It was because of this assurance that Esther went before the king, despite not getting any reply from God, after her prayer and fasting.
What does this mean for us?
This means that, for us to make a prayer that yields results, we must start by setting a deadline, if God has not set the deadline for us already.
Secondly, we must weigh the risk of being put to shame when the deadline comes, and accept that it is a possibility. This is very scary, but absolutely necessary, if we want results for our prayers.
Lastly, we must pray until we believe that God will not let us be put to shame, even if we don’t hear anything from Him.
If we do that, God will be obligated to make sure we are not put to shame when the deadline comes. And as you may already know, no matter how impossible the odds might be, if you firmly believe in God, He will do everything possible in the universe to make sure you are not put to shame.
Go forth. Set a deadline. Believe God, and watch Him do miracles for you.
God bless you!
