There are many mysteries in the Kingdom of God. These mysteries carry unimaginable power. Unlocking just one of these mysteries can completely transform your life, no matter how messed up it is.
You only need to unlock one of the mysteries, and you will have unimaginable power at your disposal. God designed these mysteries to help the humble rise from ashes, as written in Psalms 113: 7-8:
‘He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes, with the princes of his people.’
The mystery of praying in tongues
Of all the mysteries available to us, none is so easy to access as the mystery of praying in tongues. Though many believers pray in tongues, very few ever experience the unimaginable power of the gift of praying in tongues.
The amount of power packed in the gift is beyond comprehension. You only need to understand it, and all of a sudden, you will get anything you desire.
It is sad to see so many believers pray in tongues but fail to understand just how much power is at their disposal.
However, that changes today. I have spent years learning about the gift of praying in tongues and tapping into its power.
What I have discovered has made me even more determined to explore the gift. Here is a glimpse of how it has worked for me.
Where the journey began
Back in my early teenage years, I gave my life to Christ. Shortly after giving my life to Christ, I was told I needed to pray and read the Word of God daily for me to grow spiritually.
In an attempt to be a faithful disciple, I embarked on praying and reading the word of God faithfully every single day. I quickly discovered that both were a lot harder than they seemed, and so I had to find a way to make it work.
Just around that time, I read the scripture about the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:1–4, and something sparked in my mind. Out of nowhere, I came to understand that the solution to reading the word and praying daily was in receiving the gift of praying in tongues.
I could not tell how, but I just had that conviction.
Fast forward four years, and I received the gift of praying in tongues and immediately noticed that whenever I prayed in tongues, my desire to read the bible went sky-high. That marked the beginning of experiencing the unimaginable power of praying in tongues.
Testimonies upon testimonies…
At the time, I was in my late teens, full of dreams and ambitions. Just like the day I read Acts chapter 2 and got the conviction to receive the gift of praying in tongues, I got a conviction to pray in tongues until I achieved all my ambitions.
I didn’t know how it would work, but I was certain it would work.
First, I wanted a beard. That was basically to test the power of praying in tongues.
I prayed in tongues, and within months, with no special treatment, I went from having very few beard hairs to having to shave every few weeks. When that worked, I raised my ambitions.
Next, I wanted encounters, so I prayed in tongues. I got a few revelations, implemented them, and then, boom, I began having encounters weekly.
With my excitement growing, I raised my ambitions higher.
Next, I wanted to know where to live, so I prayed in tongues. Not long afterwards, a situation occurred, and I had to move to a completely new place. I ended up liking the place more than any other place I had ever been to.
At that point, praying in tongues became the go-to solution for every problem I had.
Next, I had problems sleeping at night, so I prayed in tongues. I quickly realized that whenever I prayed in tongues, I felt so much peace and fell asleep very quickly.
Next, I wanted to know the call of God over my life, so I prayed in tongues. One event led to another, and I found myself in a very stressful situation. Long story short, I came out of the situation knowing my divine assignment.
Next, I desired knowledge, so I prayed in tongues. A few weeks later, I began having dreams where an angel would come and teach me things.
I hope you get the point. To this day, everything I have desired and prayed for in tongues, I have received.
Walking in obedience
Although praying in tongues is very powerful, the most important thing to understand is that each of the things that you want praying in tongues to do for you requires a different approach, as stated in Ecclesiastes 8:6:
‘For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a person may be weighed down by misery.’
Because of this, anytime you pray in tongues about any specific thing, you will receive a specific direction from the Holy Spirit. As long as you are faithful to do everything the Holy Spirit leads you to do, you will receive whatever you pray for in tongues.
