A Hidden Revelation that will Help you Pray in Tongues and Easily Interpret Them

I’m going to share with you a hidden revelation that will help you interpret your tongues whenever you speak them. If you’ve ever desired to interpret your tongues, this is the revelation you’ve been waiting for.

I usually speak to many praying in tongues believers. Every so often, they ask me how they can interpret their own tongues.

Today, I’ve decided to detail exactly how you can interpret your own tongues. It is a gift of the Holy Spirit, but I’ll explain it in the simplest way possible for you to understand it.

I learned to interpret tongues about 3 years after I started speaking in tongues. It was purely out of curiosity. The Holy Spirit has helped me understand many things about the gift over the period I’ve been interpreting my tongues, as well as those of others.

Ready to learn the revelation? Let’s get started…

The Mistake of Many Praying in Tongues Believers…

Let me start by explaining a mistake I see many praying in tongues believers making. This mistake stops many of them from interpreting their own tongues and even the tongues of others.

Many believers assume that tongues are interpreted word by word, but actually, what you get is meaning, and you have to find words to describe it. This assumption leads many of them to think they cannot interpret tongues if they cannot understand each syllable of tongues being spoken.

But as you will learn, interpreting tongues is far simpler than what people make it look like. I will show you, and prove to you that interpreting tongues is simpler than you think.

Actually, it is the simplicity of interpreting tongues that makes people question if it is true.

Now that I’ve told you the mistake, let me walk you through the solution…

Solution Context…

If I just start explaining interpretation of tongues, you will either doubt, or not understand. For that reason, let me use a Biblical example so that you understand.

I’m going to use one of the best examples of interpretation that happened in the Bible. That is none other than the writing on the wall.

In Daniel 5:11, the Bible says…

There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God. And in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him; and King Nebuchadnezzar your father—your father the king—made him chief of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers.

These were the words of the wife of King Belshazzar shortly after King Belshazzar had seen a hand write on the wall.

The important point I want you to note here is that Daniel had the Holy Spirit working in him. It was so evident that even a heathen queen knew it.

At this point, let me remind you something; this is the same Holy Spirit who dwells in us today. As I’m speaking to you, that same Holy Spirit is in you.

This is important to remember as we get deeper into the revelation.

When Daniel is called to interpret the writing on the wall, he begins narrating to King Belshazzar what happened to his father King nebuchadnezzar.

This highlights one of the most important aspects of interpreting tongues.

You see, interpreting tongues is tied to the background information we already have.

This background information could be information from the Bible, a direct revelation from God, your past experiences, or the past experiences of someone else if you are interpreting tongues for the person.

This is why sometimes you see prophets asking people about their lives before they tell them what God wants to do next. It is the same principle at work.

In this case, Daniel had lived through the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar. He had witnessed history.

This brings me to Daniel 5:25. The Bible says…

“And this is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.

In this verse, Daniel reads out the inscription that was written on the wall. To give you some context, this writing was written in Aramaic, which was the official language of the kingdom.

Aramaic in Babylon was like English today. Many people understood it.

But if that was the case, why couldn’t the king interpret the writing himself? Why couldn’t the magicians and astrologers interpret it also?

Well, in simple terms, God concealed the meaning.

You see, whenever God sends a message, He always conceals it. By God concealing His messages, He achieves two important things:

One, only people who have the required level of faith get to understand the message.

Two, the message draws attention as people struggle to interpret it.

If the writing on the wall was interpreted directly, it would read, “Numbered, Numbered, Weighed, Divided”.

The words make sense but it is hard to know what they are referring to. This partial understanding with no conclusive meaning is what stirs up curiosity, exactly the way God wants.

This leads me to the revelation I wanted to share.

The Revelation…

When it comes to interpreting tongues, your work is to link the hints God gives you to the background information you have. It is as simple as that.

Daniel had the writing on the wall talking about something being numbered, weighed and divided, but nobody knew for sure what was numbered, weighed and divided.

But the Holy Spirit reminded Daniel of King Nebuchadnezzar. Instantly, Daniel knew that the writing on the wall was talking about the kingdom.

From there it was easy for Daniel to fill in the blanks based on history.

Therefore, whenever you pray in tongues, pay attention to the hints. Sometimes they are single words with no obvious meaning, sometimes it is flashing colors, sometimes it is objects, sometimes it is a memory of someone or something.

Once you have the hint, ask yourself, what background information you have about the hint. From there, link the two and you will have your interpretation.

Always remember that by the time the Holy Spirit is giving you a hint, He already understands the background information you have.

Don’t doubt your interpretations. The Holy Spirit will confirm them to you once you believe them.

God bless you!
