Once you grasp the life-changing lesson I’m about to share with you, even if praying in tongues feels difficult, you will push through.
For many praying-in-tongues believers, praying in tongues feels hard. It feels so hard to the point that they contemplate giving up praying altogether.
If you are there today, I’m offering you a life-changing lesson that will convince you to pray in tongues even when it feels hard. Never again will you give up praying in tongues just because it feels dry.
Trust me, because I have been praying in tongues almost on a daily basis for close to 10 years now. I’ve experienced difficult praying-in-tongues sessions, but I have never given up to this day.
The lesson I’m sharing with you is proven. Ready? Let’s get started…
The Mistake of Many Praying-in-Tongues Believers
Before we get into the life-changing lesson, let me begin by explaining the mistake of many praying-in-tongues believers. You can’t fix a mistake you don’t understand.
Many praying-in-tongues believers make a mistake by assuming that praying in tongues should never feel difficult. To them, if praying in tongues feels difficult, then there must be something wrong.
The result of this assumption is that many praying-in-tongues believers feel discouraged from praying in tongues. They stress themselves out looking for a way to make praying in tongues easy, when in reality, there is nothing wrong.
If you don’t learn the life-changing lesson I’m sharing with you today, sadly, you will keep giving in to discouragement instead of praying in tongues confidently. But of course, that is not what I want for you. My desire is that you learn this lesson and prevail over every discouragement that comes when you are praying in tongues.
Now that I’ve outlined the mistake for you, let me walk you through the solution…
Solution Context…
Let me start by giving you three scriptures that will lay a good foundation for you to understand the life-changing lesson.
The first scripture is from Mark 5:25–26. The Bible says…
Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.
Well, that looks like a random scripture in the context of praying in tongues when it feels difficult, but don’t worry, I will show you why it is relevant.
Let me give you the second scripture, Matthew 26:40.
Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?”
This is quite a familiar scripture when it comes to prayer lessons. I’ll explain shortly how it ties in with the other scriptures to form a life-changing lesson.
Here is the last scripture, Romans 8:26.
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Take note of these three scriptures as we get into the lesson. They are the foundation of what I’m going to share next.

The Revelation…
In Mark 5:25–26, the Bible describes what the bleeding woman had undergone in the twelve years prior to her encounter with Jesus. This description is a lesson for every believer to understand that getting a blessing from God is easy, but the process leading to it is very difficult.
If you were to relate this to praying in tongues, access to God is freely given to us through Christ, but the process of praying in tongues to access God is tough.
In Matthew 26:40, Jesus is disappointed by His disciples, who chose to sleep rather than pray. This scripture highlights just how hard praying can be. Imagine Jesus telling you in person to pray, but you still choose to sleep because it is just too hard.
When it comes to praying in tongues, the Holy Spirit prompts us to pray, which is the equivalent of Jesus asking His disciples to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Jesus asked His disciples to pray in the garden, but that didn’t make it any easier. In the same manner, when the Holy Spirit prompts you to pray in tongues, it doesn’t mean praying in tongues will be easy.
Lastly, Romans 8:26 gives us some relief by clarifying that the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. But this is on the condition that we cooperate with the Holy Spirit.
In many cases, our cooperation with the Holy Spirit is never perfect, which means we often have to battle through praying in tongues in our weakness.
Therefore, when praying in tongues feels hard, understand that it is only by pushing through that you will get a chance to enjoy it.
God bless you!
