A Spiritual Lesson that will Lead you to Pray in Tongues and Get Direction in Life

If you pray in tongues, your life should have clear direction.

Here is the thing; several people have come to me seeking direction in life. These were praying in tongues believers who were praying in tongues, but for some reason, they were not getting any direction from God concerning their lives.

In this article, I’m offering you a spiritual lesson that will lead you to find direction in your life anytime you pray in tongues.

I struggled to find direction in my own life for a long time, but the Holy Spirit taught me an important lesson that changed everything for me. That is the same lesson I’m sharing with you today.

If it worked for me, why should it not work for you? Let’s dive in…

The Mistake of Many Praying in Tongues Believers

If you don’t understand the mistake you are making when praying in tongues for direction, how will you correct it? That’s why I’ve decided to start by explaining the mistake that many praying in tongues believers make when praying in tongues for direction.

Many believers can pray in tongues, but few understand God’s pattern for giving direction. Because of this, many praying in tongues believers actually receive direction from God but they don’t realize it.

Their failure to realize that God has given them direction leaves them feeling as if God has not answered their prayer. As a result, they stagnate in life.

That is not something I want for you. That’s why I’m sharing this lesson with you today.

Solution Context…

Let me start by sharing scriptures that will help you understand the lesson that the Holy Spirit revealed to me.

The first scripture is from Genesis 12:1. It reads…

Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.

The second scripture is from the same chapter of Genesis 12 verse 7. It says…

Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord , who had appeared to him.

The last verse is from Proverbs 25:2. The Bible says…

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

These three scriptures capture the perfect order of how God reveals direction. Once you understand this order, you will never struggle to find direction in your life again.

Let’s get into the revelation as I explain everything to you.

The Revelation…

In Genesis 12:1, God gives Abraham a command to leave his country, his family and his father’s house.

This leads me to the first point: when giving direction, God starts by telling you what to leave without telling you what to do next.

This brings me to the second scripture…

In Genesis 12:7, the Lord appeared to Abraham and made a promise to him. This leads me to the second point: the second thing the Lord does when giving you direction is to give you a promise.

I hope everything is clear up to that point.

Lastly, in Proverbs 25:2, the Bible tells us that it is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but it is the glory of kings to search out a matter.

This brings me to the third point: after God has told you what to leave and has given you a promise, God will give you hints until you fulfill His perfect will.

But what role does praying in tongues play in all these? Don’t worry, that’s where I’m headed.

Practical Implementation

When you want God to reveal direction in your life, start by fervently praying in tongues. In doing so, pay attention to the conviction you get afterwards.

That conviction is the command God is giving you concerning the things He wants you to leave.

When you do according to the conviction, it will open a door for God to speak to you.

When that door is open, God will give you a promise. That promise will be vague.

When that happens, pray in tongues and pay attention to the hints that the Lord gives you.

The more you capture those hints and implement them, the closer you get to achieving the promise God made over your life.

Praying in tongues is the fuel that keeps you connected to God and to receive these hints.

God bless you!
