Before you Pray to Cancel the Next Bad Dream, Listen to This Revelation

Dreams are fascinating. That’s what I discovered after researching about them for a full hour.

Here is the thing; you may have had bad dreams before that made you really scared. You may have prayed to cancel them, but you are not sure if the prayer worked.

For many people in that kind of situation, anxiety grips them. Some get so scared to the point of not wanting to fall asleep just to avoid having the same dream again.

For days, or even weeks in some cases, the scary dream doesn’t fade from memory. It remains an ever-present torment. This situation can leave you in a really bad place mentally.

I did in-depth research about this matter, and came up with the revelation I’m about to share with you.

I’ve had a number of scary dreams that left me thinking for days. I know exactly what it feels like when you have a puzzling dream you can’t decode.

The Mistake of Many Believers

Many believers are bent on cancelling any dream that scares them instead of understanding it. While this looks comforting on the surface, it is a bad idea.

Here is why it is a bad idea; when you pray to cancel a dream you do not understand, you put yourself in a lose-lose situation.

If the dream turns out to be a good dream in disguise, you would have already cancelled it. If the dream is bad as you suspected, though you prayed to cancel it, your prayer won’t work. That is because, spiritually, you can’t cancel something you don’t understand.

This is why you may realize that even after praying to cancel a bad dream, you still feel anxious about it.

Also, praying to cancel a bad dream does not end the cycle of getting bad dreams.

This is a lesson I learned the hard way. I don’t want you to get stuck in that cycle. That’s why I’m sharing with you this revelation.

Solution Context

Let me begin by sharing three scriptures that led me to this revelation.

First scripture; Matthew 2:13. The Bible says…

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”

The second scripture of great importance in this context is Genesis 40:9-13. This is what the Bible says…

Then the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, “Behold, in my dream a vine was before me, and in the vine were three branches; it was as though it budded, its blossoms shot forth, and its clusters brought forth ripe grapes. Then Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.” And Joseph said to him, “This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days. Now within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your place, and you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand according to the former manner, when you were his butler.

I hope you’ve taken note of these first two scriptures. Before I explain them to you, let me proceed to the last scripture.

The last scripture is from Judges 7:13-14. This is what the Bible says…

And when Gideon had come, there was a man telling a dream to his companion. He said, “I have had a dream: To my surprise, a loaf of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian; it came to a tent and struck it so that it fell and overturned, and the tent collapsed.” Then his companion answered and said, “This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel! Into his hand God has delivered Midian and the whole camp.”

These three scriptures are very important when it comes to understanding dreams. Remember them as we get into the revelation.

The Revelation

Before you make a prayer to cancel any bad dream, take note of these four types of dreams.

First type of dream: Instructional dream

The first type of dream is described in Matthew 2:13. In that verse, an angel appeared to Joseph, the husband to Mary in a dream, and commanded him to flee with his family to Egypt because Herod would seek to kill Jesus.

In that dream, the message was crystal clear. The command was direct and properly detailed.

That is the first type of dream and the most important. God uses that type of dream to pass urgent messages.

In that type of dream, you have no way of resisting what is being said because it is a command. If you obey the command, you are safe. If you disobey the command, disaster strikes.

When you wake up from such a dream, you will be shocked because of the gravity of the situation.

Second type of dream: Judgement proclamation

The second type of dream is described in Genesis 40:9-13. The wine bearer narrated a heavily symbolic dream. Joseph explained what the dream meant, and sure enough, it was fulfilled according to Joseph’s interpretation.

This second type of dream is very common. It usually reveals God’s judgement, which is final.

For the wine bearer, God had decided that He would be restored to his position. Whether he got the interpretation of the dream or not, it was going to happen as God had ordained.

This type of dream does not give you a chance to cancel or agree with what you’ve seen. You are only being shown what must happen whether you like it or not.

The scary factor about this type of dream is the uncertainty of what is coming.

Third type of dream: Confirmation dream

The third type of dream is described in Judges 7:13-14. In that scripture, a Midianite had a puzzling dream. Gideon overheard the dream and its interpretation from the conversation of the two Midianites.

God uses that type of dream to pass basic information. In many cases, it is other people who dream about you. The information in the dream only confirms what you already know.

There is no action to take about that type of dream other than to remember it, so that it gives you confidence going forward.

I hope everything is clear up to that point.

Fourth type of dream: Lifestyle-driven dream

There is one last type of dream I want to share with you, although it is not mentioned in scripture.

This last type of dream is influenced by people.

Let me give you details about it…

This type of dream is a literal spiritual experience. These experiences are usually influenced by people’s lifestyles.

If you open a door through sin, the devil uses that door to attack you with terrible defiling dreams. If you allow immoral thoughts in your mind, the devil gives you immoral experiences in your dreams.

If you expose yourself to violence during the day, the devil gives you violent experiences at night.

However, I must also mention that if you engage in godly activities, you will get godly experiences in your dreams.

I once studied about heaven obsessively. Within that same period, I had several dreams where I went to heaven, and it felt more real than reality.

When believers try to cancel these types of dreams, they forget that the dreams are coming to them because of their lifestyle.

If your lifestyle opens a door for the devil, no amount of cancelling will stop the devil from giving you terrible demonic dreams. You only fix the problem if you choose holy living.

Most importantly, watch your thoughts. If you think of anything ungodly, you allow the devil to remind you of that same evil in your dreams.

But if you keep yourself pure in mind, those evil dreams will stop.

I hope this was helpful. God bless you!
