If you have been having a difficult time praying in tongues confidently, the Lord has seen your struggle. I have a revelation that will greatly elevate your conviction whenever you pray in tongues.
Just like you, I had this exact struggle in my early days of praying in tongues, but this revelation settled everything for me. Today, I pray in tongues confidently because of the understanding I got from the Holy Spirit.
Without further ado, let’s get into it.
The Mistake of Many Praying in Tongues Believers
Many praying in tongues believers hold an ill-informed assumption that drains their confidence without their knowledge.
As a result, they find themselves losing confidence in praying in tongues. In some cases, believers stop praying in tongues completely.
When you lose confidence in the power of your tongues, you will be discouraged to pray in tongues. Eventually, you will give up praying in tongues entirely because, naturally, we are designed to stop doing activities that we don’t have faith in.
This is exactly what will happen if you continue to hold on to this misguided belief that I’m about to share with you.
Solution Context
Let me start by providing some context so that you can fully understand the revelation. I’ll highlight three important scriptures that form the revelation.
The first scripture comes from Genesis 28:16. The Bible says…
Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it. ”
The second scripture has a very similar theme to the first scripture. It comes from Luke 24:32. The Bible says…
And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”
Can you see the similarity between these first two scriptures? Don’t worry, I’ll explain everything clearly. Before then, let me give you the last scripture…
The last scripture is a familiar one, Hebrews 11:1. It says…
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Take note of these three important scriptures because they form the foundation of the revelation I’m going to share with you.
The Revelation
In Genesis 28:16, Jacob was at Bethel, where God’s presence was, but he did not know until after he had a dream.
In Luke 24:32, the two disciples of Jesus on the road to Emmaus conversed with the resurrected Christ, but they did not recognize Him until after He shared bread with them.
These first two scriptures confirm to us that we can be in God’s presence and not know it. They affirm to us that it takes the revelation of God for us to recognize His presence.
This explains to us why Hebrews 11:1 is such an important scripture. Faith enables us to know we are in God’s presence even when we don’t feel it.
What do all these have to do with praying in tongues confidently?
Practical application
Well, many praying in tongues believers assume that they need to feel God’s presence every time they pray in tongues. Without feeling God’s presence, many of them assume that their tongues have no impact.
This is the ill-informed assumption I talked about earlier.
From this revelation, you should understand that God’s presence is always around you every time you pray in tongues, but in many instances, the Lord does not let you feel it.
If you are wondering why God does not let you feel His presence most of the time when you are praying in tongues, it is simply because God wants you to believe He is with you without any evidence. Isn’t that what faith that pleases God is all about?
Therefore, whenever you pray in tongues, don’t wait to feel God’s presence for you to believe your tongues have an impact. Rather, believe you are in God’s presence, and by so doing, the Lord will let you feel His awesome presence.
God bless you!
