This Profound Revelation will Inspire you to Pray in Tongues with Unmatched Consistency

Praying in tongues consistently is not difficult if you know what to do. With the right knowledge, you will never struggle to stay consistent in exercising the gift of praying in tongues.

Most believers who struggle with consistency in the gift of tongues make one big mistake; they confuse their responsibility with that of the Holy Spirit.

As much as the Holy Spirit helps us pray in tongues, we have a responsibility to exercise the gift. That is why the Holy Spirit is specifically called a helper, meaning He helps us carry out our responsibility in the first place.

Today, I’m going to share with you knowledge that will inspire you to push for consistency in the gift of tongues.

I’ve been praying in tongues daily for slightly over 10 years as of now. That’s more than a third of my life already. Over time, I’ve learned a few things about consistency, which I believe will make a difference in your prayer life.

If you struggle to stay consistent in the gift of tongues and you desire to do better, lean in.

The Mistake

It wouldn’t make sense for me to start giving you a solution to a mistake you don’t understand. For that reason, I’ll start by detailing the mistake that leads many believers to struggle with consistency in the gift of tongues.

Here is what typically happens: a believer desires the gift of tongues. They ask God for the gift because they’ve heard good things about it.

After a bit of a hurdle, they receive the gift. Unfortunately for them, the gift doesn’t seem as exciting as they expected. In fact, the gift barely makes them feel any difference.

But because they worked too hard to get the gift, they decide to give it a better chance. They follow a few general guidelines with little success.

Eventually, they take their foot off the gas pedal, and the gift becomes dormant. Every now and then, they think about the gift, but they have no strength to exercise it.

In their minds, the gift doesn’t work.

Well, what if I told you the solution to such a problem is very simple?

Solution Context

The solution is not only simple, but it is also in the Bible. Yes, how do you expect the Bible to miss a solution to a prevalent problem like inconsistency in prayer? It’s just that very few people ever do their homework to get the solution.

Today, I’ve done the homework for you.

Take note of the following three scriptures;

James 1:8, the Bible says…

he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Second scripture, Proverbs 25:15. The Bible says…

By long forbearance a ruler is persuaded, and a gentle tongue breaks a bone.

Last scripture, 1 Corinthians 3:6. The Bible says…

I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.

These are three very short scriptures. At first, they look very random, but they have a chemistry you would not believe. Do you have a clue?

Don’t worry, I’ll explain everything…

Revelation

The first scripture in James 1:8 highlights the biggest problem that leads to inconsistency in the gift of tongues. We are told that a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Pause and think of it; how many praying-in-tongues believers are double-minded about the gift?

On one hand, they believe they have the gift. On the other hand, they doubt if the gift is from the Holy Spirit.

That kind of double-mindedness is bound to make any believer struggle with consistency in the gift of tongues.

In the second scripture, we are told patience is a master key. The analogy used is that of a gentle tongue breaking a bone.

It’s amazing that the Bible even uses that analogy. You know why?

Because we pray in tongues with our tongues, consistency is hard to crack like a bone.

This scripture confirms to us that indeed our tongues, literally and metaphorically, can break the bone of consistency if we have the patience.

This is an important part of the solution to the inconsistency in the gift of tongues. You have to be patient in exercising the gift before you get a chance to be consistent. You have to play the game to stand a chance of winning it.

Lastly, 1 Corinthians 3:6 tells us that though men plant and water seeds, it is God who gives increase.

This is the final piece of the puzzle in achieving consistency in the gift of tongues. You have to understand that planting and watering the seed of consistency is your responsibility. God’s responsibility is to give increase to the seed.

This brings me to the most important point…

Take Away

You have to set a specific schedule of speaking in tongues and follow it religiously, regardless of how you feel about the gift. That is how you plant the seed of consistency in tongues.

Then, you are to speak in tongues routinely, using as much willpower as you can muster. That is how you water the seed of consistency in tongues.

By the time your willpower runs out, the Holy Spirit will have taken over and turned your praying in tongues effortless.

Why is this the solution?

Because the preceding actions you take prove that you had faith in the gift. Once your faith in the gift is proven, the Holy Spirit supplies His power, and tongues flow effortlessly.

I’m on a mission to help believers grow and thrive in the gift of tongues. This gift changed my life, and I’m determined to make sure it changes the lives of my brothers and sisters in Christ as well.
