The wisdom I’m going to share with you will help you pray in tongues and see great impact in your life. No matter how unfruitful praying in tongues has been for you, this will surely change your situation.
Here is what I have observed: many praying-in-tongues believers barely see any impact of the tongues they speak. As a result, they get discouraged from praying in tongues. Some even stop praying in tongues completely.
That is not something I would wish for any believer. My hope is that every praying-in-tongues believer reaches a point where they can clearly see the impact of the tongues they speak in their lives.
That is why I’m sharing this knowledge that helped me in my own journey of praying in tongues.
I started off the journey of praying in tongues with a lot of doubt. I didn’t know what to expect. I had heard many praise reports about the gift, but I wasn’t too sure if I would get the same results.
Good for me, the Holy Spirit helped me to start seeing the impact of the tongues I was speaking several months into exercising the gift.
Ever since, I have never looked back. I’ve had countless testimonies, all as a result of praying in tongues.

Let’s dive in…
The Challenge
Before I share with you the wisdom that will propel you to pray in tongues and see an impact in your life, let me start by addressing the challenge that stops many praying-in-tongues believers.
Here is how the challenge occurs for a typical believer: a believer hears about praying in tongues. They either read it in the Bible, hear it from another believer, or hear it from a sermon.
The report they get about praying in tongues is amazing. They are told that once they start speaking in tongues, their life will be transformed 100%.
They are given countless testimonies of people who prayed in tongues and got amazing results. The testimonies are undeniable.
Eventually, the believer decides to ask for the gift of tongues from the Lord. After a bit of struggle, the believer eventually receives the gift of tongues.
“Finally, I can get all the benefits that come with speaking in tongues!” The believer says.
The believer dedicates himself to speaking in tongues as often as he can, hoping to start seeing an impact soon. Unfortunately, the believer lacks crucial wisdom that should unlock that impact.
Because of that deficiency, the believer prays for a long time without seeing any meaningful impact in his life. He starts feeling discouraged as many questions fill up his mind.
“Am I not doing the right thing? What am I missing? Is this gift real?” He asks himself many questions without answers.
Well, if you are that believer, I’m here to give you wisdom that will unlock great impact in your life through speaking in tongues.
Give me your ear, and I will give you the wisdom the Holy Spirit gave me when I was struggling like you.
Context
Let me start by sharing three important scriptures that will help you understand the wisdom I received from the Holy Spirit.
First scripture: 1 Corinthians 14:14-15. The Bible says…
For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.
The second important scripture in this context is from Romans 10:17. It says…
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The last scripture I want you to pay attention to is from the book of Mark 11:24. It says…
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
These three scriptures hold great wisdom that will propel you to pray in tongues and see great impact in your life.
The Wisdom
The book of 1 Corinthians 14:14-15 highlights the source of the hurdle that stops many believers from seeing an impact in their life despite diligent praying in tongues.
You see, when you pray in tongues, your mind is unfruitful; it doesn’t know what to think about. In many cases, the mind wanders into many ungodly thoughts.
This is a big challenge, and I will tell you why.
In Romans 10:17, we are told that faith comes by hearing the word of God. This means that our faith is based on the knowledge we receive. You get knowledge about a particular matter, then decide whether to believe or doubt.
By extension, this means that faith is in our minds. If your mind wanders, your faith also wanders.
This brings me to what Jesus stated in Mark 11:24. In that verse, Jesus commanded us to believe whatever we ask for in prayer so as to receive it.
This proves that believing is a conscious choice that we make.
And here is the bombshell: when you pray in tongues, your mind is unfruitful, which makes it hard for you to believe what you are praying for.
So, what are we supposed to do?
Here is the answer…
The Solution
Have an anchor for your faith when you pray in tongues. Yes, you may not understand what you are saying, but at least in your mind, you must believe that you will receive a good reward in the end.
It is that faith that makes your tongues have an impact in your life. Praying in tongues is still prayer, and all prayer is subject to our faith. What you believe when praying in tongues is what you will get.
The amazing thing is that many times, the Holy Spirit shows you glimpses of what He is interceding for so that you can believe it and receive it.
