Speaking in Tongues | Spiritual Warfare

I recently participated in a home fellowship where a lady raised a question regarding spiritual warfare. She was seeking insights on how to go about presenting a petition in the courts of heaven when waging spiritual war.

This question reminded me of a valuable lesson that God taught me regarding spiritual battles. As I was maturing as a believer, the Lord unveiled to me that there are levels to waging of spiritual war.  Some believers operate at the lowest level and others at the highest level.

God revealed to me that purity is the gateway to achieving the highest level of fighting spiritual battles. This revelation was quite interesting, as the Lord explained to me that if an individual can maintain purity, the devil will have no grounds to attack them.

Upholding purity

The devil preys on sin and temptation to lead people to defiling themselves, making them vulnerable to his attacks. However, if one can maintain purity, then the devil’s attacks become ineffective.

While we engage in various spiritual practices such as prayer and fasting to win spiritual battles, the most effective strategy is to simply keep ourselves pure.

Take Jesus as an example; He was so pure that He confidently declared that there was nothing the devil could claim from Him.

I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.

John 14:30

As it is also written in the bible, the consequence of sin is death. If there is no sin within you, then you are not deserving of death and God Himself preserves your life.

Conclusion

Purity is an essential element in triumphing over all spiritual battles. If you have been waging spiritual war without any tangible results, it’s high time to apply the purity approach. The living God will fight on your behalf and you will experience remarkable triumph over the enemy.

As believers, our prayers should primarily revolve around seeking God’s grace and guidance to maintain our purity. Once we embrace this approach, we position ourselves for victory effortlessly.

This is one of the most profound things I have learned as a believer and I trust it will make a difference in your life as well.
